The challenge
An evening in Gourmet Restaurant Bianc is an unforgettable experience: Matteo Ferrantino interprets Mediterranean cuisine with cutting-edge modernity and uses traditional ingredients to create completely new explosions of flavour. JES Julia Erdmann designed the atmospheric setting for this wizardry and Gielissen built it.
The concept
Mediterranean colours, flowing shapes, warm light and a living olive tree thriving in the centre. This is the basic concept of this interior. As a result, it never clamours for your attention, happily allowing culinary experiences to take centre stage. And, speaking of stages, the open kitchen is a central element of the gourmet restaurant. Integrating this kitchen into the space, as though it was the most natural idea in the world, and installing complex ventilation technology to avoid unwanted effects for guests were among the challenges that we mastered successfully for this project.
The result
Scope of work as the general contractor: project management, design of the technical equipment in the building, lighting design, structural strength, floor coverings, drywall construction, ventilation system and air purification & filtration, electrical systems, sanitary fittings and plumbing, kitchen installation, furnishings.
