The challenge
The design of the office had to match ING’s work philosophy; meeting, connecting and creativity. Numerous open spaces that can be used multifunctionally and also easily remodelled for a different purpose. The design, the work of Hofman Dujardin architects, elaborated on this theme by creating numerous open-plan offices and work areas on the upper floors and connecting them to each other via staircases.
Due to the open-plan nature of the design, the acoustics required careful consideration. The client also wanted to create a green and natural setting and achieve BREEAM Outstanding sustainability certification.

The concept
The copious use of oak for the interior, acoustic walls and the many planters filled with trees and plants created a natural and calm mood.
